As long as we understand that we’re voting and potentially getting hopes up for no reason, I suppose it couldn’t hurt to assemble a list and vote, eh?

How about people who are available and interested and could make it to the area for Thursday put their names in here and later today I can make an online poll so that we can vote?

I agree with @meghanmayhem. Everyone get onto the island, grab a random backpack, and fight this shit out Battle Royale style to see who gets it.

It’s definitely premature to make plans for us to choose who to send, but if it is going to be our decision, I’d say that we choose someone active who hasn’t been previously engaged.

    Spread that shit around, yo.

I’ll be straight shocked if it’s first come first served. I have to imagine that someone’s going to be getting a call or a message today or tomorrow.

    From Lust’s page on Facebook:

    “90013 – Thursday – Only 1”

I absolutely don’t believe this is a code. This is a zip code and an invitation that only one person is going to see something tomorrow.

    But what, and who?

Flip a coin. Don’t bother looking at the result. Just go ahead and do whatever the fuck you want without regard for others’ concern

Pretty early for the OSDM, they have had a history of normally calling later. My money would be on a spam call.

    • Given that they didn’t leave a message, I’m going to choose to believe that’s exactly what it was.

      • Does the OSDM usually leave voicemails if you miss a call?

        • No. But given that no message was left it’s basically decide it wasn’t them, or live with eternal regret. 🙂

Haha the tech leaves a little to be desired but the important part is that it’s a cool looking forum that still works so that’s good enough for most of us.

We’ll accept the shit here because the prizes are so damn worth it. The events are second to none

Lust is two parts: 1 is the ARG component. It’s mostly forum conversation with occasional plot developments in the form of personal events, dead drops, puzzles, ciphers, and videos. That portion of Lust is active right now.

Later it will lead up to a big, ticketed event that will be the culmination of the storyline presented here. That portion…[Read more]

@kevin – The first wave was directly invited. @mike @kasch @russell were among these.

Second wave was people who heard about it from them or from /r/Arg or Unfiction. I believe these were people like me, @addisonborn and @electrichippo

After that it was mostly word of mouth, podcasts and publications that got the name out

Oh man, the early days of Tension were dark as hell. There was no community, the forums went up a while after the first consultations so honestly just finding out who was who was the first big hurdle that took us a very long time. We had the added concern of questioning whether or not the forums were even safe to use, since we were terrified of…[Read more]

@bruinbown – A name that popped up during Tension. It was implied that it was sort of the security/wet work/bruiser arm of the OSDM. When someone was sent to go see the Omega Council it meant they were getting promoted something fierce or they were getting “dealt with”.

This is chapter two of an ongoing immersive theater piece and ARG. Are you absolutely new to the entirety of it? How’d you hear about Lust?

    • I’ve never taken part in or even heard of immersive until I caught a ‘Verge Extras” podcast this week about the first experience, and was bummed I missed out on it. Is LUST active right now, or coming?

@bcbishop – Can we get the links to the other images? If one image has one hidden message, it may not be alone…

@pandace88 – you’ll need something that can view EXIF data. If you’re on your phone you’ll need to download the image, go to an online EXIF viewer, then upload it

@coryphella I absolutely don’t fault you for it, and I really don’t want this to be targeted. Your dedication is impressive, and I love the effort you always put into this, but we as a community rather than you specifically need to work on this

  • Sean replied to the topic On how to play "The Game" in the forum RELATIONSHIPS 8 years ago

@lenize – I don’t know at all actually, but the point needs to be made regardless of whether or not it was the reason for the closure. We’ve overstepped our boundaries at least twice in the past month and that’s more the reason I wanted to talk about rather than the topic closure
