Morning all,
I just received a call from a woman who asked if I was a leader (totally am yep) and said the following:
Paraphrasing: “Go to the public and select a person and make them known to us. Give us their full name and phone number. Bring just one.”
I suppose this is where we choose a representative to go to 90013 tonight. I sure hope I understood that properly, it was my first go-round.
So what do we want to do? Take a vote? Have people throw themselves at my mercy to see who I put up on the chopping block? I’ll want to email them the info.

I’m going to add, I think they want you to bring someone outside of us or they wouldn’t have used the word “public.” I think if it were one of us, the word community would have been used. Public could be someone you know but who isn’t involved in Lust. I have a lot of friends and family who are aware of what I’m involved in but aren’t involved. Perhaps one of them could be an option for you?

I like the idea of community input, but personally I believe the final decision should rest with @wanda102, as instructed. After all, Cristen’s decision may be a way for the person arranging this meeting to learn a little bit about her.
(Sorry Cristen… not trying to make you paranoid or anything, but it seems you have eyes on you right now!)That being said, I can be available. But… the decision is Cristen’s.

@wanda102 I think this is a test to see if you are a true leader and not someone who will say she is just to get a meeting. I firmly believe they are wanting someone who isn’t involved. I believe this so strongly that I am pulling my name out of the hat. I wouldn’t want to be in that meeting if it were a fuck up. Because both of would be blamed for not thinking it through. As I said in my previous post, they would have said community not public. Community is a huge word among us. It’s not said lightly. I think you need to bring someone not involved in Lust.

I’m agree with the sentiment that this is a “Test” for your leadership abilities, but the rebel in me wants to say, fuck tests. Do what you want. If you want to recruit a rando, do it! If you want to draw names in a hat, cool!. If you don’t want to do anything, fuck it…. see what they do. You’re not a lab rat.

Ok, they clarified that it WAS in community and then gave me 15 minutes to pick someone and I didn’t get info from anyone quickly enough so in my last minute rush I popped over to Slack and took what I genuinely hope was @julierei’s correct info from her profile. That said if they said “public”, I’d think that doesn’t mean us. I’d suggest head downtown with a friend not involved with Lust, maybe someone who was involved in Tension, but not on the forums, and dressed business casual of course, ready for anything.

To be fair @thebuz I wasn’t aware that Julie had had one on ones before just that she had gone through Tension, and does a lot of community social outreach. She comes on my radar a lot and has always been friendly so she’s the first person who came to mind when I was pressed to make a quick choice. No malintention.

Wow that all happened so fast! Interesting how they gave you such a small window of time to pick. Was going to volunteer but I guess sleeping in was a poor decision today. Hahaha. @dawsonc no you’re right. For those of us who went through Tension/Ascension we did give up a lot more personal information to the OSDM. Right now email is their only way to contact anyone new aside from those who were judged as worthy in Noah and Sarah’s eyes who were then asked to send more info, which is probably why no one who is new to the community has gotten a call yet. Until now.

Can I please say something about the newbies vs. people who have had interactions thing?
I am ALL FOR new people getting interactions, seriously. I fully support this.
However.
It’s a new year and a new game. We love this too, and also want to partake. Shit we’ve been waiting too, and many of us had a hand in “building” this. I’m not averse to the older generation also getting interactions. Last year, there were people who got lots of interactions and people who got none. It’s not a “fair” thing. It’s a story, again, it’s not about what anyone GETS, it’s about the story we all experience.There will *also* be reasons why some people are chosen for experiences that will seem unfair but are COMPLETELY logical when considered from other points of view. Fairness is never the only reason anyone gets chosen, and as time goes on it may not even be a main reason someone gets chosen. We are all in this together.
So, go @julierei, and @wanda102! Have a blast, or…get your hearts broken, since this isn’t a warm and fuzzy thing. 😉

Even though this was her decision, it did play into the trend so far of “winners” being picked. I’m sure OSDM knows that FOMO is a thing and that does foster “lust” for attention. I do get the feeling the interaction tonight will change depending on who shows up. And given @julierei’s past run-in’s with the OSDM I’m sure tonight will be a doozy.

Last year, the “interaction jealousy” thing was the low-point of Tension. So my best advice for LUST is to just relax, be present and go with the flow. Let the chips fall where they may. Everyone wants shit to happen to them and be fucked with (it’s what we live for) but if you try and force it, you’re just gonna be frustrated. The best things happen when you aren’t expecting them.

As for anyone who is severely disappointed on not getting one on one interaction – if you’re really that starved for affection I’ll set up a Hug Party when this is all over and everyone is allowed to come and hug whomever, but it is only one hug per person and entry fee is being nice to your fellow Lusters. (I haven’t been on the forums that much, is that what we’re calling ourselves?)

Basically, it’s an article discussing the four ways humans may evolve in the future.
1. They won’t. human evolution is dead because there is interbreeding and no isolated populations.
2. We continue to do so naturally through sexual selection, viruses, etc.
3. We do, but it’s through electronic augmentation, genetic manipulation, etc.
4. We do but it’s from isolated populations in off-world colonies.I feel like 3 is the most interesting of these for humanity in this moment. 1 is kind of pointless, 2 is not really anything we can affect and 4 is a bit too far off.

That coffee stain is interesting. That’s been on a couple of OOA documents as well.

A) our queen ~four is alive and well
B) the coffee stain was never from ~four
C) something is random
@julierei I’m assuming this is the sheet you wrote names on? Was the coffee stain there originally, or was that added after the fact?-
@addisonborn – Yes, it’s definitely the sheet I wrote on. It’s my handwriting, and a little tidbit: I couldn’t remember Cristen’s last name, so I wrote it as (wanda102) and it was still omitted. There was no coffee stain on it when I wrote everyone’s name down. That was added after the fact either digitally or by actual coffee.

@addisonborn – Correct! I believe we first saw that on Four’s letters. I hate to admit it, but I’m pretty sure she’s dead. We heard her Jedi spirit talk to us at The One. @russell once mentioned that in his reply to Noah, he made it about the corporate environment. What if this is one big corporation…and in these types of corporations, people get trained and carry onward things within their training. What if Four was a trainer and made it a point to put coffee stains on things for some reason?
