Joyce alluded to a foundation existing. If it was a pure smoke screen why would she back him up. She has nothing to gain for propagating his lies. She in fact seemed to want to do the opposite, discredit him.

All this comes off oddly like disgruntled ex employees trying to burn the place they were fired from. I don’t know why I’m getting that impression from Joyce’s language when referring to Briarberg.

This at least now confirmation that -berg naming does not mean the two are intertwined.
Unless this is a whole firm that has defected from OSDM.

It says loads about his motivations that he did a quick background check. For a researcher that seems like a massive invasion of privacy and puts him in the same, if not worse spot as Lust/Tension. That’s is insane.

Running down the assumption that this is an investor or someone reporting to an investor. The desire to track down actors that’ll talk could be a preemptive mole hunt. Finding the actors that are willing to breach contract and then dealing with them accordingly.
