@kevin Honestly, it very well could have been the guy from the book release party. He had a deep voice and spoke slowly and carefully. He wasn’t having a conversation, he was talking at me. Very direct and assertive.

Looks like Otis is alive and just took a totally-not-against-his-will impromptu trip which resulted in his friend having to break into his house to care for his pets. Which is totally a thing that happens when you go on trips of your own free will.
