I’d had this same thought @macbethinabathtub. @mistere‘s confidant very well could be the one on Stacey’s radar as having gone rogue. It doesn’t seem Brian has had any reason to be suspicious of his confidant though so I’d prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt, unless very convincing evidence proves otherwise.
