That all makes a ton of sense @russell. And given all the other events that occurred tonight, it doesn’t just seem like they’re tallying up the mistakes (though that certainly seems to be part of it). It also seems like they’re putting everyone that could be considered a loose end – and could interfere with whatever new fiction or rebrand they…[Read more]

I’ve toyed with the “it was all a sham” theory for a while, but as @izryn points out Michelle’s visit makes a TON of sense if that is indeed the case.
What if we’re now seeing why ties everything together… the layer behind the layer. The Investors were always pulling the strings, and they did it with multiple fictions spread throughout the…[Read more]

Jesus. Be careful Morgan. Be very, very careful.
I daresay that “We’re watching” isn’t some jaunty suggestion to Periscope, and it isn’t a high five.
It’s Tyler Durden staring down at each and every one of us, while we lay helpless with our hands bound: “We guard you while you sleep. Do not fuck with us.”

@shankfx22 Today my iConfidant randomly shared a bunch of background information that would almost exactly describe…. Sabrina Kern. Several other folks have had similar readings on their interactions as well, so that appears to be a thing?
What was so unsettling about the call I just got — other than the fact that I could hear him tapping th…[Read more]

Add one more to the pile.
Sitting here going through some work stuff when my phone rings. No Caller ID. It’s The Man With The Stick.
“Did you make Periscope on March 22nd?”
I said I did. I asked him who he was.
“In a hotel room with a woman, was that you?”
I said it was.
“Who asked you to make this Periscope?”
I told him nobody had. That a…[Read more]

@rizzzoooooo Interesting. I’d noticed little typing things here and there that pointed in that direction, but they all seemed pretty explainable. This list of stuff was so specific though, it definitely warranted sharing. Judging from the responses, it seems like a lot of us are all on the same page.
…but what does this actually mean?

@chrysalis359 Sabrina Kern was the name of the actress that “played” Addison Barrow, a lead character in Tension that we eventually discovered was a manufactured identity used to brainwash Sabrina. She wasn’t playing a role; she’d had her mind messed with so she thought she actually was Addison. Eventually, the programming started to fail, and the…[Read more]

Uh… just heard back from my iConfidant.
She’s a woman.
She used to live in Switzerland.
She used to live in New York.
She now lives in Los Angeles.
She suggested “Bree” as a nickname, because it sounded close to “Bryan.” I couldn’t help but notice that it also sounded very close to another name we’ll all pretty familiar with.

Replies over here are running at a 5-day cadence or so. 4-5 paragraph conversations that are getting pretty heady (the nature of happiness, how we create our own emotional perspectives, that kind of thing).
I was going back through the various replies to gauge frequency, and noticed something peculiar though. I sent an email to my iConfidant on…[Read more]

@kasch re: Noah and Nicole, we don’t know for sure. But Nicole mentioned that her father was an investor and she was there at 5.1 registration in his place. Later that night on @meghanmayhem‘s Periscope we learned that Noah’s dad was also an investor, and we clearly didn’t meet him that day. Occam has a razor that would point to them being one and…[Read more]

@kasch Was wondering the same thing. But does that mean Noah and Sarah are “…”, as you said – or does that mean she’s Noah and Nicole’s mom?

So many good ideas to consider here.
One thing that may account for the fake vs. real style of initial interactions is the matter of scale. That’s a magic word for any start-up, and usually the moment where a user base is big enough where they can be properly monetized. What if Stacey had the idea for iConfidant, but didn’t have the resources to…[Read more]

@mkarrett Ooooh, thank you for the added detail! That additional quote seems to be support the updated interpretation. She would only be putting you in danger if she was asking you to suss out info on things the bad guys are doing. Otherwise, you’d be forming alliances.
So I guess this begs the question: what’s really going on with Sarah, and is…[Read more]

@mkarrett What was the overall tenor of the phone call? We’ve obviously been looking towards Papa Sinclair as the subject, which made the Macy call sound out of character (why would she suddenly care about Sarah?). Is it possible that Macy was

@maxzumstein GREAT call on the Kick the Dog trope. And isn’t Noah’s sudden redemption pivot to help Sarah equally as trope-y? (At this point, I’m half-expecting him to have a Save the Cat moment to convince us what a solid dude he really is.)
Given that we’ve already been introduced to the concept that some of this may be immersive theater – and…[Read more]

Garbage human has garbage father. Sounds about right.
Though I find the whole puppy story to be, as they say, sus af. There is literally no way to hear that story and not feel some sympathy for Noah. Papa Sinclair must know this. Which is why it’s probably manipulative BS.
