• I think it’s the second, @lazysmartperson. She isn’t capable of acting on her own here, too used to taking orders from the big guy. We shouldn’t be letting the iConfidants lecture us on matters of morality. I’d like to know how much the OSDM’s needle jumped when their own people heard a woman had been killed, Sabrina included. Their instruments…[Read more]

  • One is meant to intrigue those who know everything, one is meant to attract those who know nothing.

  • I think Briarberg’s “deprogramming” is legitimate, but it technically might be better to call it repotting, because there is no third choice in their eyes. They want to take each us out of the OSDM plot and use us to create a garden in their own dirt instead. They’re violently ripping us up by the roots and at this point I don’t think they care if…[Read more]

    @bcbishop

“The retreats break you. I asked to do it. To advance. To move up. I knew that they would psychologicially torture me, but they did things that I wasn’t ready for. Dark things. Sexual things. Yes, Mason, fucking crazy fucking things.”

From our experiences with Joyce, I would take this as the deeper truth more readily than a typed…[Read more]

I’m with you, @chelsea. Violence of that kind is awful in general, but I was largely baffled by last night’s reaction. @joycecarlberg said she took no pleasure in her part of whatever atrocities happened at the retreat, but she participated none the less. In her most vulnerable moment she admitted to bald ambition, doing what she thought was…[Read more]

  • This is chilling. They’re going to save us whether we want to be saved or not. There is no getting out. They WILL win, and our options are to willingly plug ourselves into Briarberg or face the full force of their logical persuasion. A second conquering force masquerading as liberators. Noah was right. We’re ants.

@rizzzoooooo this asks more questions than it answers. What, in @111error‘s view, is the difference between Mason and Jack? How did he and Jack meet in the first place, was he referred to Morgan by Briarberg? And is Morgan saying that he doesn’t trust the entire org and that despite Jaime’s calmer tone, they endorse what happened to @joycecarlberg?

It’s true, people don’t give enough credit to Professor Rubik for his wacky, colored cube.

A lot of people have made the connection between the field the actors were vanned to during Ascension and the one Tina told @nothenrygale about in Spring, but its important to keep the timeline in mind and remember that these must be two totally different locations. Interesting that Lisa characterized her place as emanating this intense heat while…[Read more]

  • Sounds like he’s referring to that old adage that everyone dies twice– once when you die, and the next when everyone who remembers you dies. She lives now only through him, and he’s determined to leave a mark so deep and violent on these people that he, and by extension his mother, could never be forgotten. I’d like to take him at his word that…[Read more]

  • In light of Mason’s personal history, it’s clear that he’s too close to remain objective. Although he may have been instrumental in starting Briarberg, he has demonstrated that he’s too emotional to act on his own, to the detriment of the Foundation and its mission. I’m glad to hear Jaime is reaching out. I look forward to cooler heads prevailing.

  • All he said was that he left the OSDM to start his own thing “in the spirit of the OOA,” that’s the only mention. Maybe he’s literally talking about leaving to create his own Ascension-type show/emotional data collector. People were theorizing he wanted to start his own immersive. That doesn’t negate the part of the story before he left.

Even under constant supervision at the compound, the Addison persona would fuctuate and Sabrina would break through, which severely confused and disoriented her. I’m wondering how long the effects of a single session could even last. Is Mason CONTINUING to wear the helmet? Maybe he thinks this persona is actually helping him get things done.…[Read more]

I’m just having trouble swallowing the guy we saw in the video last night telling US to read this. Feels a little hypocritical. Unless this is true Mason shining through.

  • Chris replied to the topic 9/2 Mason Calls Again in the forum SIGHTINGS 7 years, 3 months ago

All advice he should be taking. Maybe you have a way with him, @coryphella. He knew he needed to hear it and coming from you it might sink in. Or else he’s just in a particularly ironic mood.

  • If that’s true and Briarberg exists, and I hope it does, then we need to start hearing from them. Mason is an unreliable narrator in his own story until we get word from someone who knows him. Otherwise we’ll continue to question his methods and control vis-à-via the helmet. If Mason wants us to trust him, we need character witnesses who can…[Read more]

  • I believe in the overall message of the Briarberg Institute, the events of last night certainly aren’t driving me into the arms of the OSDM. I’m reserving judgement until @111error returns and confirms if Mason is his assistant from the meeting or not. And if so, I want to know Morgan’s reaction to the video, whether this is characteristic of…[Read more]

  • I LOVE that theory, @daela. It says so much about all parties involved. The OSDM sees a threat, but they don’t act with aggression, they provide a temptation. Something Mason could have very easily tossed in the trash. But Mason, whoever he was, the one who was flustered at how fast Slack moves, who can’t talk to girls, cries on the phone, was…[Read more]

  • My question is can the Facebook page be trusted as an objective, omniscient presence that reliably indicates what is actually happening, or is it being run by a specific in-game entity with an agenda? In the past the nightly song/quote has frequently been used as a quiet endorsement of a piece of speculation from that day, what felt like TPTB…[Read more]

  • Mason’s admission that the Institute’s true interest lies in unexplained phenomena and pseudo-science instead of immersive theatre ethics could reveal their real motivations for messing with the OSDM and their game. We’ve already gotten several indications that the OSDM is using Lust to mask/justify their search for something supernatural– the…[Read more]
