In light of Mason’s personal history, it’s clear that he’s too close to remain objective. Although he may have been instrumental in starting Briarberg, he has demonstrated that he’s too emotional to act on his own, to the detriment of the Foundation and its mission. All he said was that he left the OSDM to start his own thing “in the spirit of the OOA,” that’s the only mention. Maybe he’s literally talking about leaving to create his own Ascension-type show/emotional data collector. People were theorizing he wanted to start his own immersive.
