This might be a stretch but I noticed a coincidence so strange it makes me think The Verge (and possibly more media outlets) are part of the recruiting efforts for the OSDM.
There is no doubt that @bcbishop has helped bring the OSDM to new audiences via his articles on The Verge but he’s also an integral part of The Experiences being one of the two participants that kicked off Lust (@lilmsfancpants was the other) with @maddyxxx. He backed @joycecarlberg and has been pro Experiences/OSDM the whole time.
I was looking at the article that DLB retweeted (which oddly enough was from a year and a half ago) and happened to check the source code and saw this:
<!-- =================================================================== == lovingly brought to you by... ================================== =================================================================== ______ __ __ ______ ______ __ __ ______ /\ ___\ /\ \_\ \ /\ __ \ /\ == \ /\ \/\ \ /\ ___\ \ \ \____ \ \ __ \ \ \ \/\ \ \ \ __< \ \ \_\ \ \ \___ \ \ \_____\ \ \_\ \_\ \ \_____\ \ \_\ \_\ \ \_____\ \/\_____\ \/_____/ \/_/\/_/ \/_____/ \/_/ /_/ \/_____/ \/_____/ =================================================================== =============================== http://www.voxmedia.com/careers === =================================================================== -->
Which looks suspiciously familiar when viewing the source of this site (with the hint of the date/time Noah spammed the forums):
var emptylust = "..."; /************* __ __ __ ______ ______ __ ______ /\ \/ / /\ \ /\ == \ /\ ___\ /\ \ /\ ___\ \ \ _"-. \ \ \ \ \ _-/ \ \___ \ \ \ \ \ \ __\ \ \_\ \_\ \ \_\ \ \_\ \/\_____\ \ \_\ \ \_____\ \/_/\/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_____/ \/_/ \/_____/ Feb 15, 7pm ...maybe this is important **************/
I looked into trying to match that text-to-ASCII art thinking it was a common font.. but it wasn’t easy to find. I finally found a way after scouring many different fonts: https://www.topster.net/text-to-ascii/sub-zero.html
What are the chances that both The Verge and The Lust Experience site has the same ASCII art font in their source code?
