Totally. People have all sorts of ideas on what is “their truth” when it comes to some things. But in many cases the only truth is that “It’s true this person believes this thing”.
This sort of discussion always reminds me of this comic:
I see this shared all the time with the caption “See? They’re both true!” Except they’re not. One is wrong.…[Read more]

@superstar Truth is quite objective, what changes is how people interpret the world around them. Just because someone has a perspective that leads them to an untruth doesn’t mean it’s suddenly a truth, it means they’re misinformed.
Now opinions, totally subjective.

Thank you for the recaps everyone. What a wild night! So…. the main takeaway is every time we’ve been asked by family and friends if we’re actually in a cult… the answer is “Maybe?”

So… uhhh…. I’m not entirely comfortable with us potentially losing dino daddy.

That is true @macbethinabathtub. Tina’s call made it sound like the “floaty field” purchase was a somewhat recent (at the time) thing. If Lisa and the other cast were taken to THAT field back during Tension, the timeline doesn’t mesh up. Maybe they were hoping the first field would have the effect they wanted, but they only found the right…[Read more]

Was thinking more about this after the reveal of the Briarberg event. So Mason, the helmet. I keep thinking back to speaking in tongues. Some super religious people TRULY believe they can speak in tongues. That it’s the “holy spirit” taking them over and making them speak truths in long lost languages.
Even if the “helmet tech” isn’t real (which…[Read more]

Grey haired man sounds absolutely like the man in the holding area for the TMC reveal. He told me he liked my hair, asked if I was religious. I was curious if he’d come back up once we started guessing Mason = Jack.

If it turns out Briarberg was behind the Red Door I’m gonna flip a fucking table.

@mkarrett Be careful today. Lust events generally have a sense of feeling “a bit off”, but this one is feeling more and more like something well beyond that.

Brad Ruwe replied to the topic I don’t think the helmet’s real in the forum SPECULATION 7 years, 2 months ago
My initial thinking was maybe the helmet didn’t work on her, so they went “back to the basics” to get the desired effects. But yeah, you may be right about the Tension helmet.
BUT, doesn’t mean they could have figured out the tech between then and now. They potentially could’ve used the fake helmet narrative to find people who would be potential…[Read more]

@thebuz It’s entirely possible this could be a chapter break. Are we due? Maybe this chapter just feels like it’s flown by but I feel like we’d still have another week or two before we’re really due.

Anyone else getting a sinking feeling in their stomach for the people chosen for tomorrow? It’s been awfully quiet today. Makes me think this won’t be a simple Q&A session for those going.
Be safe y’all.

@mkarrett We miss you too! Curious that he’d reach out to you, given you stepped away from the experience. Hope you are well!

I’ll be interested in organizing a spot for those not selected to meet up that evening to discuss whatever goes down. Once we have a general area for that meeting I’ll try to find a good spot somewhat nearby for us to hang while we wait on word from the Briarberg crew.

@thebuz‘s mentions of it likely being in October are being deleted… so it seems to confirm TMSE will be after Halloween as the image calls out.
Which means I can likely go without any schedule craziness! #ThanksHauntSeason
