Sloth has also been defined as a failure to do things that one should do. By this definition, evil exists when “good” people fail to act.

Can Sloth be applied to how we’re treating Otis? There’s a certain level of helplessness on our part, but we’re more or less sitting idly while he’s slowly destroyed/corrupted by the influence of those in power.
