Pretty sure the clients are those here who have been accepted.
No the first couple of lines were definitely in response to the email I sent. And I’m now trying to decide how to best respond in a way I won’t seriously regret later. -

@ziegenbart & @colaptesauratus – I’m definitely up for getting a drink together sometime. I did Tension last year and was the only MN person…Lukas and Mustafa were the next closest people to me so it will be strange to have people close by this year!

OK, this is what I remember about the call (other than the part where I might lose my job…)
1. No Caller ID
2. Guy with heavy accent said a bunch of stuff
3. I said “I think you have the wrong number,” and he said ‘oh I’m positive I don’t have the wrong number,’ and then said my name, badly pronounced. That is why I felt like it was a Lust call.…[Read more]-

Hey….I just got a call. I answered. And I actually, honestly, said “Can you call back in an hour? This is a REALLY bad time.” Because I was in the middle of wrapping up my first pre-tenure review meeting and I fucking answered the phone during it *headdesk*

No idea – honestly, I wouldn’t at this point try to pin anything on this in terms of “live event” or “game.” Registration could mean literally anything at this point. There could be nothing for the next three months, or not…some people apparently are already jumpy at No Caller ID numbers…. 🙂

I received an email as well from Sarah Sinclair with a questionnaire and a phone number at the end.
I received an email with a list of questions for me to answer in order to be processed as a potential candidate for future training. I also called the number, but chose not to leave a message — didn’t want to look desperate in front of Noah….
I got one from Sarah – not selected or eliminated but she wants a couple of questions answered. I’m afraid I’m not ruthless enough to be chosen,. But we’ll see I guess.
You’re right – I think my goals are pretty altruistic but I have and probably will in the future be relatively okay with going to extreme length to achieve those wants
