Let’s see, shall we?
Wikipedia “Despoina” -
June 26, 2017 at 2:59 pm #17707JackieParticipant
Getting wild with it @superstar
“] She was the goddess of mysteries of Arcadian cults worshipped under the title Despoina, “the mistress” alongside her mother Demeter, one of the goddesses of the Eleusinian mysteries. Her real name could not be revealed to anyone except those initiated to her mysteries”

She’s been here for 5 minutes and we’re already entertaining that she is apart of all this? Maybe @despoina is just really into greek mythology. Or her parents were.

DID they have an agenda? It seems the issue here is that “they” lack a clear one.

I’d be willing to assume that they do, but simply aren’t telling us.
The butcher does not bother telling the herd his plans
-
June 26, 2017 at 3:57 pm #17743DespoinaParticipant
And you’ve certainly caught my attention.
A shepherd needs his flock.

:D!
@despoina
Just trying to be less abrasive, since you had such an abrupt, critical ease into the forums. Even if you are a mystery, or even a completely innocent player, everyone has a favorite color. A favorite food. No one’s a monster… Unless if you feel like crossing that threshold into conspiracy-land… -

@despoina Yep, already like this person. Thank you for pointing out @joycecarlberg’s clarity problems.

Mystery ins’t the same as obfuscation, although many confuse the two.

“Even though I’m no better than a beast, don’t I have the right to live?”
Boy do I hate being fooled twice though.
Even though I’m probably going to continue being wrong… I am always going to defend new players from being accused of not being who they say they are.
Let us know what we can do, @despoina.

@thebuz Maybe they don’t want us to know that we know that they know that they know who they are and we know that they are we? Wait, what?

Mystery is truly lacking the pieces of the puzzle, to finish. Obfuscation is hiding the pieces, purposefully, to watch others struggle. One is usually more malicious than the other?

Thank you for your eagerness to accept me into this … community of observers.
-
June 26, 2017 at 4:09 pm #17759Brad RuweParticipant
The way I see it, mystery is a puzzle. All the pieces are there, you just have to figure out how they fit together.
Obfuscation is like taking 5 puzzles, mixing the pieces all together, and trying to form one coherent image from 1/5 of the pile. When you needlessly complicate things in order to “hide” a message, the message gets lost entirely.
Thank you for bringing up this point @despoina
And apparently @theladyj and I are on similar wavelengths with this.

Anyone who hasn’t read the wiki yet- I suggest doing it. She’s a cult, within a cult.

She’s an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, smothered in secret sauce, served with a side of ranch dressing.
-
June 26, 2017 at 4:39 pm #17793JackieParticipant
Well ‘Despoina’ is Greek Mythology. Much of the FB paintings/quotes have been romanticizing Helenistic life, mythology, wars. Correlation? Clues?
