Gino Severini – Visual Synethesis of the Idea: “War”
Severini and other futurists were defined in their art by the way it shrugged off conventional artistic styles of the past. Futurism was all about pushing forward; technology, speed, youth, and through their support of the war efforts and WWIin particular, violence.
Futurists were pro war because they saw it as an opportunity to institute a new world order following the breakdown of society caused by the conflict. They wanted to wipe the slate clean and start again, reshaping and moving forward.
As far as the quote, we notice this a lot this chapter, is it talking about Noah, or Morgan? Could be either, or both. It’s up to the interpretation of the reader and what that reader’s position is.
Don’t forget that tongue-in-cheek warning from The Experience last night.
The way we see a shadow fall depends on where we’re standing. -

@erisbonn I can see how it can be perceived as a challenge. In a world of keyboard warriors, it can be hard to determine what someone truly stands for until they are thrust into a position where they are forced to follow up their words with actions. Perhaps our loyalties and our views will be tested prior to the System meetup.
