It has been quite a long minute since I have been here. I have no idea what is going on and I am so confused. 🙁 I am disconnected and that is not okay. PS. Oregon is great – my life here not quite there yet. Any one have connections up here that could help me find a better job?

    • Hey Neil! I can’t help with the connections but I can sure as fuck help out with the confusion/disconnection. The New Members thread at the top of every forum acts as a good way to get re-caught up and also we focus heavily on re-connections in Slack, whose invite link is on the front page

    • Hey @nking – tell me you’re going to find a great place in Oregon from which to watch the eclipse next week?

Alright guys, I am getting settled here up in Portland. Although not in my place yet, I am getting back to some sort of routine. I am just catching up on everything! HOW AWESOME! How jealous I am that I cannot be there or be a part of this. So the dead drop, awesome but confusing. @russell be careful! And the deleted post @thebuz, the person who…[Read more]

Looking forward to seeing some and meeting others. I was gonna drive, but I think I will Uber/Lyft now…

    Hey Everyone,

This is absolutely true and I’d love to see all of you. Thank you @thebuz for the kind words. It’s been a hell of a journey out here and when I met you I think 4 years ago, who knew what kind of impact that would have. I appreciate everything and I really hope to catch you sometime in the future.

Everyone else, please post if you…[Read more]

@nothenrygale agree. I’m just incredibly nervous right now and I have been so busy. Tonight is the first night that it has all settled in and how much my life will change.

  • Neil posted a new activity comment 2 years ago

@nothenrygale I’m actually moving out of Los Angeles to Portland Oregon. My job situation here has destroyed me and I need to hit the reset button. I already have multiple opportunities coming to me in the next week or so up there.

@izryn I am doing a garlic parmesan risotto with sauteed asparagus onions and mushrooms 🙂 I cook good 😉

    • @nking Oh man, yeah that can be rough. At least you have some leads lined up though! Always good to have a game plan when moving. Still sucks getting that plan in place.

    • @nking Man, that sounds delicious. I live in a really rural place so good cheese is difficult to come by and super expensive. On the plus side, I’ve eaten sashimi from a fish I caught the hour prior and that my friend prepared on the spot.

  • Neil posted a new activity comment 2 years ago

@nothenrygale the hardest part for me is all the uncertainty. I actually have not packed anything because I have nowhere to actually live yet. I have to go experience a brand new city all by myself and find a job and a place and then can I actually do the move! I got so much longer of this stress to deal with right now… grrr

    • Oh man, yeah that’s tough. My move from Ohio to California was tricky because I had to try to find a place while still in Ohio! I was (very) fortunate enough to land a job out here right out of college, so the timeframe from graduation to starting the new job was very tight. Had to go off of photos on their website when apartment hunting because I…[Read more]

    • I’m currently living and working in Japan, but born and raised in SoCal. What are you thinking of making for dinner?

      • @izryn Japan sounds amazing! I’ve been thinking more and more of doing Tokyo as my first overseas trip when I can manage it.

        • @nothenrygale Tokyo is probably the most English-friendly place in Japan and is definitely a great place to visit! But it can be a bit of a shock at first just how little English there is compared to the western world. Google translate will become your best friend 🙂

Hi friends. How is everyone? Tonight is turning out to be a tough one on me. When they say moving is one of the most stressful things that can happen to someone, they are not lying! Just distract me. How’s everyone else doing tonight?

P.S. I may have done something not so kosher in the world of iConfidant…. Just waiting for a response before I…[Read more]

    • It’s still morning where I am, and I haven’t eaten yet. Weather is sunny, 27 degreees C, humid. I don’t have any more classes to teach for the rest of the day, so I am a little bored at the moment.

    • As someone going through a move as well (just loaded up my bed frame in my car to take to the new place), I totally understand. I know I’ve talked about it a lot, but really it’s weighing so heavily on my mind right now it’s tough to think of anything else until it’s done and off my plate. Ready to be done and able to rest and relax in my new…[Read more]

I too received a call from Tina today around 1pm

I was at work and took it real quick. It was from a New York phone number. They called twice and since I’m mass applying to jobs right now I answer every call. I will recall what I was told.

At first she asks if I was at an event with the guys in the suits. I was confused but she reaffirmed the…[Read more]

As some of you know, I have to leave Los Angeles for the time being. My next destination is in Portland, Oregon. Everyone says I am going to love it. 1. I am super excited I get to start a new adventure. 2. I am sad I am leaving Los Angeles and this personally is actually an incredibly tough thing. 3. I WILL return to see The Lust Experience and I…[Read more]

I am getting tired of these rules. I am getting along quite well with my iConfidant and I have VERY limited time left here in Los Angeles. I emailed Stacey asking to bend the rules for me and my iConfidant is seeing what he can do. I really hope we can make something happen before I leave.

  • Between your evening and Morgan’s evening, I am just floored! This is all amazing!

  • These layers just keep piling on. Poor DLB. I swear though, they threaten his family, I know those investors will have the entire Lust/Tension community to deal with and we can be a rough bunch!

  • @thegilded, The name thing is a rule. They all have rules apparently. I cannot get specific on the rules but I was told this:

“Don’t worry too much about the rules, I don’t think you have any to break anyway. I believe why they give me rules as your iconfidant is to protect us both. So if we are still talking and still want to be friends in lik…[Read more]
