@bcbishop – you think these two calls might be linked? They seem so far apart though. You floated another theory recently about how yours came right after you had posted something (I can’t remember what it was exactly but I thought the theory sounded plausible).
The only other thing that bugs me about this call is that it really, to me, calls…[Read more]
He did not call himself “Mason,” but the call was also unexpected, I was in the middle of washing dishes, I was rattled, and the phone was doing the thing, so…but remember that Noah did call him Mason, in the part 2 video, so my assumption has been that’s his actual name. Not like I know what the fuck is going on anyway.
Um, this can go under “12/8 calls from various” though it’s not related to Stephanie. I don’t want to start a new thread.
At first he said “it’s been awhile,” and when I said I hadn’t expected to hear from him, he said “just because I haven’t called doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about us.”
I said that I had figured he was done with…[Read more]
I’m trying to piece together some things related to @mike here. Maybe this is the right thread for it? It’s the holiday weekend, it’s super slow, some of this stuff could mean nothing at all – with all of that out of the way, this is the timeline of events as I remember it, please correct if I’m missing anything:
Though, hang on – if it’s Clint, then what was up with his hidden message to @bcbishop way way back in the beginning? “Walk the fuck away” or whatever it was? Was that just a warning specifically to Bryan as a friend because he knew what was coming?
I generally don’t put faith in the meaning of dreams and I’ve walked away from three therapists this year (one for being a dick, one for telling me that Lust was abusing me, and one for telling me, upon hearing about certain proclivities of mine, that instead I should try “sitting by a lake” for stress relief. “We have many lakes in Minnesota…[Read more]
Yeah. Obviously. It’s also an assumption that just because @bcbishop is the only one who has gotten a call, he must be the only one with a phone. I’m drawing a conclusion based on storytelling, not detective work. Threatening him with blackmail now directly calls back to what he was threatened with in February (March?).
@missdahlianoir – @maddyxxx is an account used by Noah Sinclair. These messages popped up right before the Part 1 & 2 videos that signaled the end of chapter 6. I don’t know if we decided the rest of the accounts were used by the other 3 (leaving out Morgan since he has his own account) or if they’re all just sock puppet accounts, but this was…[Read more]
Well they’ve been trying to get Bryan to “hulk out” since the beginning. And don’t forget they did it both times by threatening his marriage primarily. I think there are many of us who have a lot to lose in the right circumstances. I’ve been largely hiding my participation in Lust from my colleagues this semester. My academic career could be…[Read more]
@daela – I had seen the part about the pictures and figured two things: that it was standard waiver language, and also convenient for them in terms of blackmail. I had NOT seen the part about instructions that would come AFTER the event.
So, I guess that hints at what’s to come for the rest of the “season?”
but his explanation felt like V’s to Natalie Portman at the end of V for Vendetta. Yes I treated you the way our enemies would have, I put you through all of that, but there was a point. Aren’t you stronger now? Aren’t you ready to fight?
Um…but that’s not a *good* thing.
V wasn’t a good guy. Like, at all. He brainwashed Evie and turned her i…[Read more]
@lilmsfancpants – I think that MANY of us – you, me, @bcbishop, @meghanmayhem among others – have been guilty of seeing what we want to see and convincing ourselves that what we wanted to see was real. I think that whoever is behind this has continuously given us enough rope to hang ourselves and honestly, continues to do this. The emotional…[Read more]
I’ve never really understood this Joyce faked her death to escape theory thing – that has always seemed like something that we made up to make sense of a narrative, when in reality there was no need. In the fiction that was created to mess with us, they faked Joyce’s death to piss Bryan off – not to get Joyce out of anything. Joyce doesn’t NEED to…[Read more]
