During Ascension, a few of us encountered a letter on the desk in the Mirror Room. It was sent from a woman and typed on OOA letterhead, imploring the subject to immediately stop testing the helmet on themselves and implying that failure to do so would cause irrevocable damage. I had put it out of my mind for months, as we had assumed that the letter was addressed to Gatekeeper IV. Horace also said that Mason tried the helmet out and “that was dumb.”
Looks like we might have our Joker origin story.
